Matthei Botanical Gardens

Girl Scout Brownies and Girl Scout Daisies: Discover the world of plants, Join our docents on a guided adventure in our conservatory for plants from around the world. Learn about the basic needs of plants and build a terrarium to take home. Girl Scout Juniors: Trail Treks, Take a hike and learn about nature. Travel through woodland, savanna, wetland and fen. These nature explorations happen at both the arboretum and gardens. Both activities lead to the completions happen at both the arboretum and gardens. Both activities lead to the completion of several outdoor badges. Matthaei Botanical Garden badges are available for an additional $3 each.

MSU's Kellogg Bird Sanctuary

The Kellogg Bird Sanctuary has programs specifically designed for Girl Scouts. Programs will connect girls with nature up-close. These fun and adventurous courses are taught by Kellogg Bird Sanctuary staff and have been developed for all Girl Scout levels! Girl Scout Daisies: Nature in Action, Girl Scout Brownies: Animal or Eco Explorer Try-it, Girl Scout Juniors: Wildlife. *Programs are booked on an as-needed basis; please call for available dates and times.
