West Michigan Glass Society
West Michigan Glass Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching, creating and promoting glass art. See our programs below or call us to create a custom workshop. Fused Glass: Make a sun catcher, tile, pendant, small bowl, wind chimes or picture frame using cut glass that will be fired in the kiln. Sandblasting: Create your own designs or use stickers to sandblast a glass item. Make an ice cream bowl and enjoy a treat right away! Glassblowing Interactive Demonstration: Coach the instructor on what colors and special characteristics to include while making one personalized glass vase. Ages 10 and up: Any of the above and- Lampworking creatures: learn to shape glass in a torch and you can make turtles, pendants, fish and other trinkets. Bead Making: Experience the excitement of creating glsss beeds on a steel mandrel. use bright, vibrant colors to make a variety of beads. Glassblowing: In our hot shop, see a demonstration and then create a glass flower, pressed medallion or a paper weight.

Wild Swan Theater
Wild Swan Theater, nationally recognized for its ingenious artistry, has been delighting family audiences since 1980 with performances that blend storytelling, involvement and music into magical accessible experiences. All productions feature original scripts drawn from beloved tales and multi-cultural traditions. Young Chef's Academy
Girls will learn the fundamentals of cooking in a fun, hands-on environment; but that's not all they will learn! Kitchen safety, etiquette, menu planning for your next Girl Scout trip, table setting, napkin folding and much more mixed in, all while actually making (and tasting) real recipes. Girls can earn Girl Scout recognition while having a fun time learning their way around a kitchen.

Youth Dance Theatre of Michigan
Fully narrated full-length ballet presentations of The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty (April 24 and 25, 2010). Attend one of the shows to work toward your Dance, Theater and Performing Arts badges. Dancers appeal in costume after the show in the commons outside of the auditorium for a meet and greet.
