Product Program Sales Specialist Position

(Saginaw Location Available)

The expertise, interests, skills and life experiences of our volunteers are essential to shaping a fun and enriching product sales program for girls. Be a part of the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan as a very active and professional Product Program Sales Specialist. We have a position available to provide experiences for girls in your community. Candidates partner with product sales team to coordinate all aspects of the Cookie and Fall Product sales to assure the sales remain a viable funding source for the council while increasing program value for girl membership. Will coordinate the Cookie/Fall sale programs in assigned regional center in close partnership with vendors and other product team specialists. Will interpret and promote Girl Scouting in the community in order to enhance the role and image of Girl Scouting, foster interest in troop sponsorship, increase visibility, and attract new girl and adult members.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience is required. Minimum of three years experience with non-profit and/or youth service organization is required, product sales experience preferred. Excellent leadership skills are necessary with the ability to manage and motivate staff. Skills include knowledge or experience in recruiting and motivating volunteers, excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to train, and mentor assigned volunteers required. Must have own transportation, the ability to travel within the jurisdiction and the ability to work within a flexible schedule.

PT Outreach Specialist Positions

The expertise, interests, skills and life experiences of our volunteers are essential to shaping a fun and enriching leadership program for girls. Be a part of the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan as a very active and professional part-time Outreach Specialist. Be part of a team available to provide experiences for girls in your community. Responsible for the oversight of Girl Scout Outreach programming. This includes ensuring the development, extension, management and continuance of all outreach programs within Girl Scouts of Heart of Michigan. Working with Team Leader, ensure that the appropriate hiring, training, supervision, evaluation and scheduling procedures are conducted for program facilitators. Ensure the delivery of appropriate materials and training are provided for weekly program facilitators meetings.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field necessary or equivalent education and experience. Excellent supervisory skills are necessary with the ability to develop pluralistic staff and volunteer work teams. Strong human relations and problem solving skills a must. Demonstrated ability to organize and direct complex work assignments and create and carry out multi-faceted plans essential. Must possess extensive knowledge of volunteer organizations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with public speaking experience preferred. The position will begin part-time, working approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential for it to become full-time.
